Research

One of the challenges in performing research for chiropractic is double blind studies.   A double blind study requires that the researcher and the subject are unaware of the treatment being performed.  The chiropractor will know that she is performing an adjustment.  And the subject will typically also know if the adjustment has been performed, but not always if an instrument-based technique is being used.  Chiropractic is limited to the single blind study in that the researcher knows whether or not an adjustment is being performed.

Activator Methods is the most researched technique in chiropractic.  It is an instrument-based technique, meaning that it uses an instrument in order to perform the adjustment.  You can access the research done with Activator Methods here:  ACTIVATOR RESEARCH.

The ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) has a dedicated group of practitioners who understand the importance of research, especially in regard to pregnancy.  You can access research done by the ICPA here:  ICPA RESEARCH.

Dr. Bonnie Juul has been selected to participate in the SafetyNET research study through the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with a select group of her chiropractic patients.
