Frequently Asked Questions
NeuroReformer
No. TENS delivers a preset current, chosen for the modality to decrease pain. NeuroReformer® measures the individual first — a neurological scan and a neuromuscular scan — then builds one combined treatment waveform from those findings for that individual's condition in that moment and delivers it during guided movement.
It uses medical AI to measure two things in that person, on that day:
1. it measures the frequency at which your nervous system communicates most efficiently, and
2. the waveform producing the strongest neuromuscular contraction.
Both findings resolve into a single treatment waveform.
This treatment waveform is used to facilitate healing that allows both systems to work together for faster healing, and sometimes making healing possible where it wasn't before.
In our office what we have seen include:
- Injury Repair: speeding up healing from torn ligaments in the knee from 6 weeks to 2 (6 treatments)
- Long Term Condition Resolution: improving a morton's neuroma in a runner so that she could run longer distances again. (4 treatments and ongoing maintenance)
- Stress Management: Stress creates cortisol (the "cortisol belly") - while we know deep breathing helps - the NeuroReformer Whole Body Recovery protocol supercharges the lowering of stress on your body, allowing your body to handle the stress of your life more effectively and efficiently.
- Overtraining by a weightlifter: Resolving of a strained elbow and shoulder from overlifting (one treatment)
- Overtraining by someone starting to exercise again: GenX-er reducing muscle strain in the quads (front thighs) after starting up exercise again after time off. Her recovery time was shortened by at least a week.
- Senior Balance Muscles: The Balance Protocol to support seniors in reactivating the balance muscles - essentially reversing atrophy (10 treatments and maintenance)
- Neuropathy (10 plus treatments and ongoing maintenance)
Sessions are typically 20 minutes or less. Once a week minimum for neuropathy or the balance protocol. For injury recovery, 3-4 times a week.
Pregnancy, pacemakers, and other implantable electrical devices. The provider screens every patient before treatment, and screening is covered in full during onboarding.
Each treatment area is a session. Each treatment area is $150.
You may choose to purchase a package, which can lower the price to $100 per session. NeuroReformer packages can be shared between family members.
Most sessions are scheduled for 20 minutes.
If you don't have time for recovery and need to get back on the field or in they gym or on the road (for runners) - and you know that any time you're not able to train, you are losing momentum - then yes - it is absolutely worth it.
If time is no longer on your side due to age and the slower recovery time - and you know that you need to keep your muscles strong to age better - then this is worth it:
- GenX-er trying to prepare your body for a healthy future
- a senior and you just can't get those balance muscles to come back -
